EMO, Europe’s largest dry bulk terminal for coal and iron ore products, today welcomed the Vale Italia. This magnificent new vessel will unload 380,000 tonnes of iron ore at EMO, eventually intended for the German steel industry. At 362 metres long and 65 metres at the beam, and with a draft of 23 metres, the Vale Italia is one of the largest dry bulk vessels in the world. New Sea going vessel loader operational

As from today EMO is proud to present the new sea going vessel loader. This new loader has been realized on a new quay at the Mississippi harbour. The loader can slew, luff, shuttle and long travel, it can load barges as well as Panamax vessels with coal or iron ore at 6.000 tonnes per hour. The loader is equipped with high-tech safety features such as a state of the art collision protection system. Arrival Sea going vessel loader at EMO

EMO recently began operating an almost entirely new vehicle fleet consisting of 23 Volkswagen Polos BlueMotion. With input from the drivers, the company decided to invest in an innovative, economical and safe car. It’s a well-considered decision since with an average fuel consumption of only 1 litre per 30 km, the Polo BlueMotion is kinder to the environment and needs less refuelling.
